You’ve planned your trip, and made an investment to get to your destination and enjoy a nice vacation.  Sadly, there are dozens of reasons that could cause you to cancel your trip, cause an airline to cancel flights, cause you to return home early, or force you to seek emergency medical treatment while travelling. Tip #4 | Customized Israel Traveling

Some people prefer to get off the beaten path or change the pace of their journey.  Perhaps you want to customize your entire tour. Or many just a few days of your vacation.

Or perhaps you want to go on a traditional group tour, then add more days to view a location not included, or even one your group saw, but you want greater depth.

Tip #5 | Credit Cards in Israel

You can rely on your credit card almost anywhere in Israel. Almost every store or restaurant will accept Visa and MasterCard. Discover Card is not accepted.  American Express is, but not as readily as the first two.

In addition, you are able to use your debit card from certain ATMs that are found in most hotels and even on the streets.  With your debit card, and the right machine, you can get your $100 (or other amounts) in its sheqel equivalent. And with your sheqels you can buy your cup of coffee, a danish, a coke, etc. — When the purchase is small enough that it doesn’t warrant the use of your credit card.

However, when you are making larger purchases, you are going to want to use your credit card.  It is important to notify the credit card company before you depart that you will be abroad and that they will be seeing purchases from Israel (or any other country you might be visiting). You will also want to give them the dates of travel so they know that purchases will occur during a specific time period.

Help your credit card company to secure your card with this information.

You’ve heard Israel is a country built on a desert.  Does that mean you should expect hot temperatures?  Not necessarily!  Depending upon the season, weather can range from hot to moderate to cold.  It even snows!  Whenever you travel, we’ll let you know what you can expect during your tour.

Here are some sample temperatures for the next few days. Depending upon the season during which you travel, the weather could be quite different. And that could change the activities available.
